The leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Memli Krasniqi, expressed openness to a coalition with the opposition.

“We can collaborate with opposition parties, and within this framework, even with a government led by the Vetëvendosje Movement, we absolutely prefer a government led by PDK in partnership with opposition parties, and I believe that citizen legitimacy is on the side of the opposition from the previous mandate, because if we look at the numbers, there are 52 deputies from the opposition and 48 deputies from the ruling party,” Krasniqi said on RTV 21.

He stated that for PDK, “red lines” as a concept are unacceptable. “Because the red line as a concept is no longer about the leadership of the party, but about the citizen who votes for that party, and this is the reason. Everyone who had red lines has erased those lines, because usually, the red lines were with PDK, and then they came to PDK. So, we don’t say we have red lines, because such exclusion is against the citizens, and now I always continue with another sentence, but I don’t see any possibility to cooperate with Vetëvendosje in government,” he said.
