Valmir Elezi, the spokesperson for the Central Election Commission (CEC), informed Telegraf that the CEC has been notified by the Election Complaints and Appeals Panel (PZAP) regarding three complaints filed by a political party.
Elezi stated that the CEC will wait for the panel’s decision and possibly even the ruling from the Supreme Court before proceeding with the announcement of the final results of the Kosovo Assembly Elections held on February 9, 2025.
“We have been informed by the PZAP that three complaints from a political party have been submitted. Therefore, the CEC will await the decisions of the PZAP, and eventually the Supreme Court, before proceeding with the announcement of the final results of the elections,” Elezi said.
In the meantime, the Vetëvendosje Movement (VV) has again accused the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) of manipulating votes from the Kosovo diaspora. Arlind Manxhuka, VV’s spokesperson, called for a full investigation into the reported irregularities to ensure a clean, fair, and transparent electoral process.
“It is evident that a scheme has been used in the postal voting from the diaspora. There were 400% more votes for LDK, with template votes for certain candidates, while parties like PDK and other opposition parties are far behind this trend,” Manxhuka stated.
He emphasized that VV had already reported the violations to the police and the prosecution and is awaiting official responses from the responsible institutions.
“The will of the people expressed in the February 9, 2025 elections cannot be altered or manipulated,” he concluded.
