Arben Gashi, a member of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), has called for a recount of all votes, claiming that the counting process failed and “severely damaged confidence in the accuracy of the election results.”

Gashi accused political parties of engaging in mass manipulation of the diaspora vote, which he argued was evident in the election process.

“The counting process in the Municipal Counting Centers has failed. This failure has also severely damaged trust in the authenticity of the election results. To preserve trust in the democratic process, the CEC must decide to recount all the votes at the Central Counting and Results Center in Pristina,” Gashi stated.

He further emphasized that the diaspora votes were manipulated, particularly within political parties. Gashi concluded by stressing that Kosovo needs representative and trustworthy institutions.

“Democracy, among other things, is also about trust in elected institutions. The country needs representative and reliable institutions,” he added.
