Italian KFOR troops conducted patrols along Kosovo’s borders today as part of ongoing security operations.
According to KFOR, both motorized and foot patrols aim to ensure constant presence in the area and guarantee security.
“KFOR continues to fulfill its mandate—based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 (1999)—to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and to uphold freedom of movement at all times,” the statement read.
The NATO-led mission emphasized its close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission (EULEX) in their respective security roles.
