Mark Rutte, NATO’s Secretary General, has stated that Kosovo and Serbia must make “the right compromises” in the dialogue facilitated by the European Union.
According to him, “both parties need to focus on long-term benefits.”
The German Embassy in Kosovo told RTV21 that “the Brussels and Ohrid agreements remain valid and fully binding in their entirety, providing a clear framework for the dialogue process.”
“Both parties have found compromise in the agreements reached. Further steps are outlined in these documents, and it is essential to focus on their implementation. Both Kosovo and Serbia have publicly reaffirmed their commitment to swift and full implementation in 2024, including as part of the EU enlargement plan. The success of the dialogue depends on Kosovo and Serbia’s commitment to turning the agreements into tangible actions,” the German Embassy’s response stated.
