The New Union of the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) has announced a protest to be held on May 1st – International Workers’ Day.
The workers will demonstrate to demand more dignified wages and better working conditions for employees in the energy sector.
The protest is scheduled for Thursday at 12:00 PM in Skanderbeg Square, Pristina.
In their statement, the New Union emphasized that their work involves extreme exhaustion, constant danger, and daily sacrifice, stressing that “no amount of money can truly compensate for this job.”
“We protest for a dignified wage and respect for our work,” the statement reads.
