Finnish President Alexander Stubb stated that Donald Trump is losing patience with Russia after speaking with the American leader.
Stubb also spoke earlier today with Volodymyr Zelensky.
“If we were to understand correctly, we could say that Zelensky is patient, while President Trump is beginning to lose patience—but in the right direction, meaning towards Russia,” Stubb told reporters in Tallinn, Estonia.
In a somewhat optimistic press conference reported by Helsingin Sanomat, Stubb said: “There have been many discussions about Ukraine, which are quite limited in number. The answer is that they are not.”
“Russia has tried to conquer Ukraine for three years. This year, they have advanced less than one percentage point of Ukrainian territory,” the Finnish president added.
Stubb said that things have been improving “slowly but surely” for Ukraine in the last two weeks when it comes to a possible ceasefire.
