At least eight people were killed and more than 30 others injured in overnight drone and missile attacks by the Russian military in Ukraine, according to local authorities, as reported by Gazeta Sinjali.

According to the BBC, four fatalities occurred in the western region of Khmelnytskyi, three in the Kyiv region, and one in the southern city of Mykolaiv.

These attacks came just one day after one of the heaviest strikes Kyiv has suffered since the beginning of the Russian invasion.

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that its air defenses had shot down 95 Ukrainian drones across several Russian regions — including Moscow — during a four-hour period on Saturday evening. No casualties were reported from that counterattack.
