The Serbian List left the chamber of the Kosovo Assembly after their candidate, Slavko Simić, failed to secure the required majority to become Deputy Speaker. The Serbian List had insisted that only Simić be their candidate.
To resolve the deadlock, Assembly Speaker Dimal Basha proposed that the Deputy Speaker from the Serbian community be chosen by lottery. Following the lottery, Verica Ćeranić was selected for the position.
There are 94 deputies present in the chamber who will vote for or against this proposal, marking the next step in the process of constituting the Kosovo Assembly.
