Following the appointment of the Prime Minister, President of Albania Bajram Begaj, through a decree issued on Friday and upon the Prime Minister’s proposal, officially decreed the new government ministers and forwarded the decrees to the Albanian Parliament for competence.
The procedure for formalizing the new government will be completed in accordance with the Constitution in the coming days, with the swearing-in of the Prime Minister and ministers once Parliament approves the government’s program and composition.
The swearing-in ceremony will take place at the Office of the President of Albania.
President Begaj decreed the following appointments:
- Formation of the Council of Ministers
- Belinda Balluku – Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Infrastructure and Energy
- Albana Koçiu – Minister of Internal Affairs
- Elisa Spiropali – Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs
- Petrit Malaj – Minister of Finance
- Blendi Gonxhja – Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Sports
- Sofjan Jaupaj – Minister of Environment
- Mirela Kumbaro Furxhi – Minister of Education
- Evis Sala – Minister of Health and Social Welfare
- Delina Ibrahimaj – Minister of Economy and Innovation
- Besfort Lamallari – Minister of Justice
- Pirro Vengu – Minister of Defense
- Andis Salla – Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development
- Ervin Demo – Minister of State for Local Government
- Majlinda Dhuka – Minister of State and Chief Negotiator
- Adea Pirdeni – Minister of State for Public Administration and Anti-Corruption
- Toni Gogu – Minister of State for Parliamentary Relations
