A tragic accident has claimed the life of 16-year-old Manuel Leti, an IT student born in Italy to Albanian parents, yesterday afternoon on “4 Novembre” Street in Artogne, Brescia province.

Manuel, who was riding his KTM Duke 125 motorcycle, collided with an Audi driven by a 44-year-old man at the intersection with “Caduti della Resistenza” Street around 2:30 p.m.

Although the initial collision with the car was minor, the motorcycle lost stability and crashed into a streetlight pole.

The strong impact threw Manuel to the ground, and despite wearing a helmet, the severe injuries to his chest and abdomen proved fatal. A friend riding another motorcycle witnessed the accident but could not intervene.

Emergency services, including an ambulance and a rescue helicopter, quickly arrived at the scene, but doctors confirmed the teenager’s death on-site.

The mayor of Artogne, Barbara Bonicelli, described the tragedy as “unacceptable” and urged greater road safety. Meanwhile, the mayor of Pian Camuno, Giorgio Ramazzini, expressed condolences for the loss suffered by a respected family: “It is hard to find words for such pain.”
