U.S. Vice President JD Vance delivered a powerful speech during the memorial service for Charlie Kirk, describing him as a key figure in shaping contemporary American politics.

This marks the first time in U.S. history that both a sitting President and Vice President have attended and spoken at a memorial gathering for an American citizen without an official high-ranking position.

“The evil killer who took Charlie from us expected that we would have a funeral today and, instead, my friends, we had a revival and a celebration for Charlie Kirk and for the Lord Jesus Christ,” Vance told attendees.

He deeply praised Kirk’s dedication to family values: “Marriage and family are the highest calling, and Charlie Kirk brought that message to young people.”

Recalling him with personal tones, Vance added: “Any parent would be proud to have him as a son.”

The Vice President described Kirk as an irreplaceable figure in the American conservative movement: “Charlie built an organization that reshaped the balance of our politics.”

He went on to stress that the presence of the entire administration at the ceremony was proof of Kirk’s influence: “The entire administration is here because we know we would not be here without him.”

Concluding his speech, Vance emphasized that Kirk would encourage Americans to confront evil and defend good: “Charlie would encourage everyone to be honest that ‘evil walks among us’ and to ‘address it directly as the disease it is.’”

“But I also think he would encourage us to focus on the good. He would want us to remember that for every hateful voice celebrating his death, there are a thousand people mourning him and fighting for his legacy,” Vance concluded.
