The Democratic Party of Kosovo’s (PDK) candidate for mayor of Drenas, Petrit Hajdari, paid tribute to the iconic couple of Kosovo’s freedom, Fehmi and Xhevë Lladrovci, describing them as a symbol of mutual love and unwavering devotion to their homeland.
“They loved each other deeply, without a doubt. But they loved freedom even more. Today, our people live free. Today, love is as Fehmi and Xheva wished it to be — free, unhindered, within the state of Kosovo,” Hajdari stated.
He added that the debt to them is eternal:
“We owe even the breath we take to those who gave their last breath for freedom. We owe it to them to make their country better with each passing day.”
“We remember you today, tomorrow, and every day,” Hajdari concluded.
