President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, visited Kosovo’s diaspora in Staten Island, highlighting the important role of the community abroad.
In a Facebook post, President Osmani expressed gratitude to the diaspora and local associations for their warm reception:
“Thank you to our fellow citizens in Staten Island and the ‘Ulqini’, ‘Dibra’, and all other associations for the exceptional welcome!”
She emphasized the enduring contributions of the Kosovar diaspora:
“Kosovo’s history is one of sacrifice and collective effort. In this history, our diaspora in America has written a bright chapter, always standing shoulder to shoulder with our people, proving that distance never diminishes the love for the homeland.”
