Israel will not participate in the UN discussions scheduled for Tuesday, which are set to focus on the situation in the Middle East, Israeli Ambassador Danny Danon confirmed.

Danon stated that Israel had requested the session be rescheduled because it coincides with Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year and a sacred holiday.

“Despite our prior notice that the session falls on Rosh Hashanah, the Council chose to hold the debate on this day. A one-sided discussion held on a Jewish holiday is further evidence of the UN’s hypocrisy,” Danon wrote on X, formerly Twitter, as reported by BBC.
