U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to hit Russia with “a very strong round of powerful tariffs” if Putin does not come to the negotiation table to end the war in Ukraine.
He claimed this would “stop the bloodshed… very quickly,” but also suggested that the fighting will not end as long as China and European countries continue buying Russian energy.
“They are financing the war against themselves. Who the hell has ever heard of this?” Trump said.
He also criticized European allies, stating that they should “join” the U.S. in implementing the same measures.
