The Serbian authorities have once again targeted the Albanian community, carrying out raids on two homes in the village of Konçul, Bujanoc. Residents report that they were barred from approaching their own homes, while the gendarmerie acted without transparency or explanation.

The Albanian National Council confirms that no clear reasons have been provided for these actions, highlighting a pattern of intimidation and harassment against the Albanian minority in southern Serbia.

Konçul, a predominantly Albanian village near the “Dheu i Bardhë” border crossing, has long been under pressure from Serbian authorities. This raid underscores the continuing threats to the rights, safety, and property of Albanians in Serbia.

The international community must hold Serbia accountable for its treatment of minority populations.
