Israeli media report that a new war with Iran may be imminent, just months after the devastating 12-day conflict in July 2025. That war, the most dangerous confrontation between the two nations this century, was marked by missile strikes, cyber-attacks, and international tensions.

Heightened Tensions After New Sanctions

According to Israeli outlets, the country is now on high alert as new, sweeping sanctions against Tehran take effect. The measures include a complete ban on military imports and exports to and from Iran, even targeting third parties attempting to bypass restrictions. Analysts say this effectively marks the collapse of the JCPOA nuclear deal.

Iran, already crippled by hyperinflation and economic instability, faces mounting internal and external pressure. Israeli security officials fear the regime could act “like a wounded beast,” misinterpreting Israeli moves or even striking preemptively.

One senior Israeli official warned anonymously: “We are concerned that Iran, in desperation, might decide to fire in all directions — literally.”

Reminder of July’s Destructive Conflict

During the July 2025 war, Iranian missiles hit Bat Yam, Tel Aviv, and Haifa, causing widespread damage. Israel retaliated with precise strikes on Revolutionary Guard facilities, as well as infrastructure and civilian sites in Iran. The fighting ended only after intense international mediation.

Experts caution that a new round of conflict could be even more destructive. Beyond conventional weapons, Iran may rely on cyber-warfare and proxy forces, including Hezbollah and allied militias in Iraq and Syria.

Israel Mobilizes for Possible Escalation

To avoid being caught off guard, Israel is mobilizing reservists, strengthening air defenses, and holding large-scale military drills. Military analysts warn that the volatile mix of political desperation, economic collapse, and regional uncertainty makes the situation extremely dangerous.

The world now watches closely as the Middle East once again stands on the brink of war.
