Kosovo Police, in cooperation with the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (KIA) and the Prosecutor’s Office, have arrested Fatmir Sheholli on suspicion of espionage, according to Acting Interior Minister Xhelal Sveçla.

Sveçla stated, “The Kosovo Police, together with KIA and the Prosecutor’s Office, arrested Fatmir Sheholli today under suspicion of involvement in espionage. This case is being treated with the highest institutional seriousness, as it represents one of the gravest threats to the security and constitutional order of the Republic of Kosovo.

He added, “Individuals like Sheholli, who have had unrestricted media exposure in our country, have collaborated with actors working daily to undermine our Republic and its progress. We remain committed to protecting our country from all circles that would jeopardize it for their own gain. The era of Serbian spies in Kosovo is over. Anyone working for Serbia against Kosovo will be pursued relentlessly. The Republic must be protected with the highest institutional and moral responsibility.

Authorities have not yet released further details about the investigation or any potential collaborators.
