Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reaffirmed on Thursday, during a memorial ceremony, that Israel will achieve all of its war objectives in Gaza.
Speaking after President Isaac Herzog addressed the same event, Netanyahu declared that those who threaten Israel will “pay a high price”, emphasizing that the war is not yet over.
“Whoever lays a hand on us knows they will pay a very heavy price,” said the Israeli Prime Minister.
His remarks come as a fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hamas continues in the Gaza conflict.
Under the first phase of the truce agreement, Hamas has released all 20 living hostages and has so far returned the bodies of nine deceased captives.
However, 19 more bodies remain to be recovered, with Hamas stating that it needs additional time to locate them, as many are buried under rubble and special equipment is required to retrieve them.
