BDI Chairman Ali Ahmeti arrived in Tirana today to participate in the nationwide protest “Justice for the Liberators”, which calls for accountability for former KLA leaders.
Before the protest began, Ahmeti met with Albanian President Bajram Begaj in a meeting described as warm and fraternal.
Ahmeti said the discussion focused on current regional developments, Euro-Atlantic processes, and the important role of Albania and North Macedonia in maintaining peace and cross-border cooperation.
“I congratulated President Begaj on Albania’s progress toward European integration, emphasizing that it is vital for North Macedonia to advance alongside Albania. The path to Brussels is a strategic national journey that strengthens peace, development, and regional cooperation. Our countries must move side by side toward a shared European future,” Ahmeti stated.
He added that the meeting highlighted the importance of regional stability, accelerating EU integration, and removing barriers that separate communities, transforming them into bridges that unite peoples within a united Europe.
