The Swiss Army has officially decorated three soldiers of Albanian origin for an act of bravery and humanity that saved a woman’s life near their military barracks.

The honored soldiers — Albin Ukzmaili, Harbin Hasani, and Edmir Rrafshi — demonstrated courage, professionalism, and compassion when a woman collapsed close to the barracks where they were serving.

Without hesitation, they immediately administered first aid, performing cardiac massage and taking turns to maintain the proper rhythm of life-saving assistance. Alongside their intervention, they alerted the police and emergency services, who quickly arrived and transported the woman to the hospital.

Thanks to the swift and coordinated response of the three soldiers, the patient’s condition was stabilized in time.

This heroic act did not go unnoticed — the Swiss Army formally honored Ukzmaili, Hasani, and Rrafshi for their life-saving intervention and contribution to public safety.
