The Chairman of the Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, attended the solemn ceremony marking the 102nd anniversary of the Republic of Turkey on Wednesday.

In his speech, Basha emphasized that Turkey, from the most difficult days of the war, through the reconstruction period, and up to the strengthening of state capacities, has always stood by Kosovo with institutional, economic, and humanitarian support.

He added that relations between the two countries are built on concrete achievements, development projects, and a strong political and institutional partnership.

“On this important anniversary, I expressed special gratitude to General Ulutaş and the 730 soldiers of the Turkish contingent serving as part of KFOR, forces that continue to be present due to the hegemonistic policies of the Serbian state, which does not accept our reality and continues to have territorial claims over us,” Basha stated.

Furthermore, he emphasized that Kosovo values Turkey as a strategic partner, with whom it shares common values for development, regional stability, and prosperity for our peoples.

“On behalf of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo and our citizens, we congratulate the Turkish people on the 102nd anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, with the wish that our excellent friendship and cooperation will be further strengthened in the service of peace, well-being, and our shared future,” Basha concluded.
