The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergei Lavrov, met with his Serbian counterpart, Ivica Dačić, in Moscow on Wednesday.
After this meeting, Lavrov stated that Russia values its relations with Serbia.
“We value the developing relations between the Russian Federation and Serbia. The tone of these relations is set by the regular contacts between our presidents, Putin and Vučić. We are pleased with how the agreements in the material sphere, trade, investments, humanitarian exchanges, as well as in the field of sports cooperation, are being implemented,” said Lavrov.
Meanwhile, Dačić expressed Serbia’s gratitude for Russia’s support.
“The support you provide us in relation to Kosovo is very important for us, and I want to personally thank you for your understanding and great support whenever we turn to you for help. I am grateful for the assistance in holding an emergency session of the UN Security Council for Kosovo and for proposing to hold a session on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the NATO bombings in Yugoslavia,” Dačić said, according to Serbian media.
Lavrov and Dačić will attend a friendly football match between the two national teams.
