The Kosovo Police have arrested a man in Prishtina after discovering a bomb, firearms, and cocaine during a search of his properties, in what authorities described as a major narcotics and arms operation.

The arrest took place on Friday evening in Jakov Xoxa Street, following an intelligence-led investigation.

“After an operational investigation, a Kosovar male was arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking. During the search, police seized a pistol with 11 bullets, a mobile phone, and €140 in cash,” the report states.

Further searches — conducted in two apartments and several basements used by the suspect — uncovered a significant arsenal and narcotics, including:

  • 17.08 grams of suspected cocaine
  • An explosive device (bomb)
  • An automatic rifle AK-47
  • A pistol and 20 bullets
  • A digital scale used for drug measurement
  • A DVR security recording system

All evidence has been confiscated, and the suspect has been detained by order of the prosecutor pending further investigation.

This case adds to a growing list of recent drug and weapons seizures in the capital, as police continue efforts to crack down on organized crime and illicit trafficking networks.
