Former Deputy Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo from the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albulena Haxhiu, reacted after the suspension of “Trafiku Urban,” placing the blame on the former opposition parties for refusing to attend the session to vote on the 2026 budget, including the budgets for Prishtina and RTK.

Haxhiu argued that the obstructionist behavior of the former opposition harms citizens directly, noting that essential institutions and services are now facing disruptions because the budget could not be passed.

“When we asked — even pleaded — for them to come to the session for the 2026 budget, for Prishtina’s budget, RTK’s budget, and similar issues, they refused. This kind of opposition helps no one. There is no such thing as doing opposition at the expense of the citizens,” Haxhiu wrote.

Her comments come amid growing public frustration over the suspension of urban transport services, which has created significant inconvenience for residents of Prishtina.
