Due to the worsening global security situation, Switzerland has begun reorganizing its national security policy, the Swiss government announced. Authorities have initiated consultations and issued guidance to relevant departments to start implementing necessary measures.
“In light of the deteriorating security situation, the Swiss government is reorganizing Switzerland’s security policy. It has started a consultation process and instructed the relevant departments to begin taking action,” the government stated on X.
The official statement notes that Switzerland will develop three main strategies along with dozens of objectives and measures.
In a separate announcement, the Swiss Federal Government decided to purchase as many F-35A fighter jets as possible to strengthen the country’s defense capabilities.
