In the village of Leshak, Leposaviq, a former member of Serbia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) has been arrested.
He is suspected of involvement in the kidnapping of Kosovo citizen Millan Vukashinović, carried out by Serbian structures on November 1, 2025, inside the territory of Kosovo.
The arrest was confirmed by Kosovo’s acting Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, who stated that the suspect had been integrated into the Kosovo Police since 2013, but later resigned.
Kosovo Police announced that they conducted a search of the suspect’s home, during which they seized multiple items as material evidence, including:
- 9 mobile phones
- 1 laptop
- 3 A4-format documents
- 1 hunting rifle with 39 bullets
- 1 ammunition vest for a hunting weapon
- 1 weapon barrel

ATTEMPTED AGGRAVATED MURDER & KIDNAPPING
Leposaviq / 01.11.2025 – On December 20, 2025, the Kosovo Police, specifically the Serious Crimes Investigation Sector, acting under a court order, searched the residence and accompanying facilities of the suspect (male), who is suspected of aiding and abetting in the commission of a criminal offense.
The incident occurred on November 1, 2025, with a Kosovo male citizen as the victim. During the search, the following items were found and seized as material evidence: 9 mobile phones, 1 laptop, 3 A4 documents, 1 hunting rifle with 39 rounds of ammunition, 1 ammunition vest, and 1 weapon barrel.
Following the interview, by decision of the prosecutor, the suspect was placed in detention.
