The United States Embassy in Tirana has issued a warning to citizens to exercise caution regarding immigration documents obtained through marriage.
In a post shared on its official Facebook page, the Embassy emphasized that marriage fraud constitutes a federal crime in the United States.
According to the statement, such actions can lead to serious legal consequences. The Embassy urged citizens to choose lawful immigration pathways when seeking entry into the United States and to ensure that all documentation is obtained through legal means.
“Marriage fraud is a federal crime in the United States and can result in serious penalties. Always choose a lawful immigration process to enter the country and secure proper documentation,” the Embassy’s statement reads.
