The administration of President Donald Trump has announced a new program offering undocumented immigrants up to $3,000 to voluntarily leave the United States before the end of the year.

According to U.S. authorities, individuals wishing to benefit from this offer can register through an application run by the Department of Homeland Security, where they must provide personal information in order to receive free travel to their country of origin.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem stated that undocumented migrants “should take advantage of this opportunity and self-deport,” warning that those who fail to do so will face arrest.

The measure is part of the Trump administration’s tougher immigration policies and aims to reduce the number of undocumented migrants in the country.
