U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he held a phone conversation with the presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, inviting them to participate as guests at the G20 Summit next year in Miami, Florida.

In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump emphasized that the discussions focused on the importance of peace in ongoing conflicts, as well as increasing trade and cooperation between countries.

He wrote: “Next year’s G20 Summit will be held in the United States, and we will invite both of these leaders to join us as guests,” according to Reuters.

Trump described the two phone calls as “wonderful,” signaling a potential step toward strengthening U.S. relations with Central Asian countries.
