As in the local elections of October 12, official Belgrade has once again attempted to deceive Kosovo Serb citizens by announcing a call for applications for 300 new jobs in illegal health institutions operating in Kosovo.
“At the same time, a recruitment process for 50 additional positions in health institutions in Kosovo is underway, which was opened on December 22, 2025. In this way, 350 new jobs will be opened within the Serbian health system in Kosovo, which means life, permanence, and survival for our people in this area,” stated the so-called Office for Kosovo within the Serbian government.
Ahead of the early elections scheduled for December 28, this office claimed that the move demonstrates the “clear care of the state of Serbia and President Aleksandar Vučić for their people in Kosovo.”
“We also emphasize that in the second half of January, 700 medical and non-medical staff will be employed following a previously conducted recruitment process, which, together with this latest increase in job openings, represents significant assistance from the state of Serbia and the Ministry of Health, led by Minister Zlatibor Lončar, to Serbian health institutions in Kosovo,” the statement continues.
After opening the recruitment call ahead of the October 12 elections, Serbia extended the deadline once the elections concluded, justifying the decision by citing a large number of applicants.
Among Kosovo Serb political parties, only Lista Srpska has the support of official Belgrade.
Several other Serb parties had criticized Belgrade for postponing the deadline of this recruitment process.
