Google may soon introduce a long-awaited change for its users: the ability to change their email address.
Currently, to use most Google services—including Gmail, YouTube, the Play Store on Android smartphones, and other platforms—users must sign in with their email address. A Gmail address has become essential, as most users rely on it to create and manage accounts across various online platforms.
Despite its importance, Google has so far not allowed users to change their Gmail username or existing address. This has been one of the most frequent requests from users for years.
According to reports, this situation may soon change. Google is reportedly considering allowing users to change their email address, but with certain limitations: the change would be allowed only once every 12 months, and a maximum of three times in total.
