According to the daily report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, published today, Russia has lost approximately 1,201,230 soldiers (killed, wounded, and missing) since the start of its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022.
This figure includes 860 casualties recorded in the last 24 hours alone.
The report also highlights significant losses in Russian military equipment, including: 11,456 tanks; 23,801 armored fighting vehicles; 71,274 vehicles and fuel tankers; 35,435 artillery systems; 1,579 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS); 1,263 air defense systems; 434 aircraft; 347 helicopters; 94,797 drones (UAVs); 4,107 cruise missiles; 28 warships and boats; and 2 submarines.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized national unity during wartime in his Christmas address.
According to Zelensky, Ukraine seeks peace, while Russia continues to pursue war.
“Since ancient times, Ukrainians have believed that on Christmas night the heavens open. And if you make a wish, it will surely come true. Today, we all share one common dream. And we express one common wish—for everyone,” Zelensky said.
