After a cabinet meeting, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made statements referring, among other issues, to Venezuela, emphasizing that Turkey is working for what is best and fairest for both his country and the Venezuelan people.

Erdogan highlighted the importance of solidarity between the two countries, especially in difficult times, and reiterated that Turkey will continue to support the Venezuelan people in their struggle for prosperity and development.

The Turkish president also referred to his phone call with Donald Trump, stressing the importance of avoiding instability in Venezuela and underlining Turkey’s sensitivity to the matter.

“Turkey and the Turkish people will continue to stand firmly alongside the friendly people of Venezuela in their fight for prosperity, peace, and development,” he added.
