The leader of the Party for Freedom, Justice and Survival, Nenad Rashiq, has confirmed that, according to the results so far, he has won a seat in the Assembly of Kosovo. In an interview with RTV21, Rashiq said he is ready to vote for the “Kurti 3” Government, but has first requested a meeting with Prime Minister Albin Kurti to clarify several issues.

“I believe we have secured one mandate, as the vote difference is significant and our seat is not at risk. One mandate, but a meaningful one. I have had good experiences cooperating with Mr. Kurti. We have not yet discussed any form of cooperation, but I am confident that in the coming days we will meet and talk. I am ready for cooperation, although there are naturally details regarding improving performance. I see no obstacle to continuing cooperation. We have no conditions for voting for the Kurti 3 Government, but we do have requests for technical adjustments aimed at better governance in the interest of Serbian citizens. The Constitution itself states that one ministry should be led by a Serbian minister, and all circumstances are pointing us toward cooperation. At this moment, I see no obstacle to continuing this cooperation,” Rashiq said.

Rashiq also left open the possibility of being re-elected as Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, but noted that he is first awaiting a decision from the Constitutional Court, which must clarify whether the position of Deputy Speaker from the Serbian community belongs exclusively to the Serbian List as the largest party, or whether the post may also be held by another representative, such as himself.

“At the moment, the Constitutional Court is nearing the end of its decision-making process regarding the complaint filed by the Serbian List. From that decision, I expect a clear clarification as to whether the largest party has the right to monopolize the nomination of its candidate, or whether, as in my case, another candidate may also hold that position,” he said.
