The United States has decided to classify the Lebanese, Egyptian, and Jordanian branches of the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorist organizations.
In an official statement, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced:
“Today, we are designating the Lebanese, Egyptian, and Jordanian branches of the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorist organizations. Under the leadership of President Trump, the United States will eliminate the capabilities and activities of Muslim Brotherhood branches that threaten American citizens and our national security.”
