The European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, has stated that Europe will propose a list of concessions to Russia as part of efforts to bring an end to the war in Ukraine.

According to Kallas, peace talks so far have mainly involved Ukrainian, American, and Russian officials, while Europeans have only been consulted intermittently. She emphasized that no peace agreement can be reached without Europe’s involvement.

She also announced that the proposed list will be presented to EU member state governments in the coming days.

When asked about the potential contents of the list, Kallas mentioned the return of all Ukrainian children abducted during the war and restrictions on Russia’s armed forces, without providing further details.

European officials have also underlined that any potential settlement could include the approximately €210 billion in Russian assets frozen in Europe.
