President Vjosa Osmani met with the Ambassador of Turkey to Kosovo, Sabri Tunç Angılı, to discuss the excellent bilateral relations and current developments.

Osmani expressed deep gratitude for Turkey’s ongoing support to Kosovo, both historically and during her presidency, particularly in the fields of defense and diplomacy. She highlighted Turkey’s role in strengthening the capabilities of the Kosovo Security Force (FSK) and supporting Kosovo in its international recognition efforts.

Special thanks were extended to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his commitment to Kosovo, as well as to Ambassador Angılı and the Turkish Embassy for their continued engagement and support.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the partnership in the interests of peace, stability, and development.

The upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying match between Kosovo and Turkey was also mentioned at the end of the meeting, with both parties expressing the hope that the game will reflect sportsmanship and mutual respect.
