The President of the Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, has raised an alarm that a new terrorist attack, similar to last year’s attack in Banjska, is being prepared by Serbian terrorists.

“While we are speaking, our institutions have precise information that another group of hundreds of people is doing the same thing in Serbia, training and preparing for a potential attack that we might experience,” Konjufca stated after meeting with his Slovenian counterpart, Urska Klakocar Zupancic.

In relation to this, political analyst and expert Gani Qarri spoke to the newspaper “Bota sot.”

“As the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kosovo mentioned some time ago, in addition to tactical positioning maneuvers, three brigades of the Serbian army have almost never moved from their attacking positions and remain constantly concentrated along the entire border of Kosovo with Serbia. These positions are not coincidental, nor do they remain in such excessively disproportionate positions so close to the border without having a specific goal against the Republic of Kosovo,” Qarri stated.

He emphasized that Konjufca’s statement is an alarm for Kosovo.

“After the Prime Minister and the President of the state, the Speaker of the Assembly Glauk Konjufca is one of the highest figures in the country and one of the most informed individuals about the most serious threats our new state may face. His duty, as the head of the legislature, is to warn the international factor in advance and to inform the citizens of the country about the preparations for a new terrorist attack in Kosovo, following the failure of the terrorist act on September 24 of last year. This is to ensure that our country is prepared to thwart and prevent any hostile act from outside without being caught by surprise,” Qarri said to “Bota sot.”

“Otherwise, every independent country in the world operates with the well-known dual motto, working as if war will never happen and preparing thoroughly as if a possible aggression could occur the next day. This has been proven to be the best way to develop economically, improve citizens’ welfare, and move forward with full readiness and security for successful defense against any enemy and external aggression. This message is rightly and justifiably conveyed by Speaker Konjufca, especially considering that it hasn’t even been a year since the Serbian terrorist attack in Banja e Zveçanit, which resulted in the death of Kosovo’s heroic policeman Afrim Bunjaku. Meanwhile, the leader of this heinous attack, chief terrorist Milan Radojčić, has not only not been arrested but is reportedly conducting regular training and preparing with a group of Serbian terrorists for new attacks, similar to the one in Banja, on Kosovo’s territory,” analyst Gani Qarri concluded.
