The Diocese of Rashke and Prizren has announced that the Monastery in Banjskë will be closed to visitors from today until September 26.
The announcement states that this is being done “for security reasons and to maintain peace, which is currently of great importance for the monastery.”
Although not mentioned in the announcement, September 24 marks one year since the armed attack by Serbian terrorists in Banjskë, where police officer Afrim Bunjaku was killed.
Additionally, the Special Prosecutor’s Office has filed charges against 45 individuals related to the September 24, 2023 attack, including Milan Radojčić.
