The Albanian-American Relations Council (AARC), led by Martin Vulaj, visited the US Department of State this week and met with the Director for Central and Southeastern European Affairs, Paul Pfeuffer, according to Gazeta Express.

In an announcement, Vulaj stated that while he couldn’t share specific details of their discussions, he appreciated the position articulated by the US government during the UN session by John Kelly, which emphasized that mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia remains the position of the United States.

Vulaj further stated that Kosovo must quickly form a stable government that focuses on strengthening its relationship with the United States.

“Kosovo is falling behind. It needs to act quickly to form a stable government that thinks ahead, strengthens its relations with the United States, and takes bold, proactive steps to address its internal challenges. Pointing fingers at Serbia is not a strategy. Responsibility and action are needed,” Vulaj wrote.

He also mentioned that Kosovo must remove the tariff on the USA, describing it as a necessary and symbolic step toward reaffirming the partnership.
