The Chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku, has described Kosovo’s inclusion in an international peace initiative led by U.S. President Donald Trump as a moment that goes beyond daily political news.

Evidence of our success, and responsibility stemming from our role as a young state. It is a sign that Kosovo is no longer seen only as a beneficiary of peace, but also as part of it.
In an increasingly fragile world, every joint step with the United States is a step that strengthens our national security, deepens our strategic alliances, and places Kosovo where it belongs—on the side of peace and just alliances.
