Abdixhiku: LDK Will Enter Government Only for a Full Mandate and the Position of Prime Minister

Lumir Abdixhiku, the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), addressed the media after a session of the party’s leadership.

He confirmed that the LDK has not held any electoral meetings with any political parties, stating that their position regarding cooperation with the Vetëvendosje Movement (VV) remains clear. The LDK does not want to engage in collaboration with VV.

Abdixhiku Clarifies LDK’s Political Position

Abdixhiku emphasized that the LDK’s stance is unequivocal: “We do not want, nor do we have, and we will not work for a collaboration with them [VV]. This is our clear position before the election, and it remains unchanged,” Abdixhiku stated.

No Short-Term Government or Power Sharing Without Prime Minister’s Post

Additionally, Abdixhiku made it clear that the LDK will not be part of any government unless it is given the position of Prime Minister. “The LDK will not work for a short-term government without resolving the issue of the president,” he added.
