The leadership of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) has unanimously decided that Lumir Abdixhiku will be the party’s candidate for Prime Minister in the extraordinary elections scheduled for December 28.
Following the meeting, Abdixhiku held a press conference, stating that the party is open to allowing individuals and political parties to join the LDK list.
He added that the Social Democratic Initiative (Nisma Socialdemokrate) led by Fatmir Limaj could also be included under the list of candidates for MPs.
“I invite other parties to join LDK on a joint electoral list. LDK will reserve part of the list for parties that choose to join, including Mr. Limaj with his party. We are also open to cooperation with the Christian Democrats, the Justice Party, Mr. Pacolli’s AKR, etc. We are also open to individual candidates,” Abdixhiku said.
