Belgrade/Novi Pazar – For decades, Serbia has cultivated hatred and ethnic division as tools to maintain power and enrich the political elite. Slogans like “Aca Serb” and “Aca Shiptar” are not just youthful chants—they are the product of a deliberate state propaganda mechanism, designed to ensure that nothing truly changes in society.
As a result, ordinary citizens have become victims of a corrupt political game, where ethnic hatred is used to cover up theft, corruption, and abuses of government power. For 35 years, under this manipulated system, the country has been plundered, while inter-ethnic and inter-religious tensions have been exploited to ensure that those in power remain untouchable and unaccountable.
Students from Novi Pazar and other university centers are challenging this system. They do not rely on insults or hatred but promote tolerance, coexistence, and civic responsibility, showing that there is an alternative path for society. They refuse to fall prey to the provocations and manipulations of the Serbian government, which seeks to use slogans to intimidate and divide the population.
Instead of supporting citizens and ensuring justice, the Serbian government has chosen to strengthen hatred and division. Recent events in Belgrade, including police intimidation against protesters, the use of sound cannons, and targeting students, clearly demonstrate that Serbia uses violence and fear to maintain its grip on power.
Today’s slogans, like “Aca Serb” or “Vučiću pederu,” reflect public anger but also expose the Serbian government’s failure to build a society based on law, justice, and equality. Instead of change, Serbia continues to profit from division and hatred, keeping communities fragmented and vulnerable.
The students facing these pressures demonstrate that resistance against the Serbian government is not merely a protest—it is a conscious effort to build a future where coexistence, respect, and justice guide society. The message is clear: Serbia must stop using hatred as a political tool and begin to answer for decades of manipulation, discrimination, and violence against its citizens.
