A vehicle that plunged into the Vardar River earlier today on the Rashçe-Saraj road has been located, according to reports from Alsat.
Preliminary information indicates that the accident involved a car veering off the road, carrying five members of the Arsllani family from Gërçeci.
Details of the Incident
The passengers included an elderly couple, their daughter-in-law, one of their sons, and a 5-year-old child. During the rollover, the child was reportedly ejected from the vehicle and found by passersby who promptly transported the child to the 8th September Hospital in Skopje.
While the child’s medical condition remains uncertain, no trace has yet been found of the other four passengers.
Official Statement
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MPB) confirmed the accident occurred around 4:00 PM but has yet to provide official information on the number of passengers in the submerged car.
Special forces, including the “Tigers” unit, have been deployed to the scene to assist with the search and rescue operations.
