Acting Assistant Secretary of State Brendan Hanrahan is set to visit Kosovo, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Hanrahan himself announced his upcoming trip via a post on social media platform X.
“I’m going to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Kosovo after productive talks in Dayton and Washington. It’s an important anniversary and a crucial time in the Western Balkans. I look forward to strengthening ties between the U.S. and countries in the region,” he wrote.
Earlier on Wednesday, Kosovo’s President Vjosa Osmani announced she had met with Hanrahan in Washington. Osmani stated that they reaffirmed their commitment to deepening the strategic partnership between Kosovo and the United States, KosovaPress reports.
“Kosovo is ready to advance cooperation with the U.S. in key areas such as defense, economy, and strategic investments of mutual interest,” said Vjosa Osmani. She added, “We stand shoulder to shoulder with the U.S. in values, in vision, and in action.”
