African Heatwave Returns to Kosovo: High Temperatures and Dry Weather Expected Next Week

Kosovo is set to experience a return of hot African air masses next week, bringing high temperatures and dry conditions.

The Hydrometeorological Institute of Kosovo (HIK) has issued a warning about intense heat and urged citizens to take extra precautions against sun exposure, especially vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and those with health issues.

Authorities recommend staying hydrated and avoiding direct sunlight between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Weather Outlook:

Monday: Mostly sunny with some light clouds. Temperatures will range from 14°C to 18°C in the morning and climb to between 33°C and 37°C during the day.

Tuesday: Sunny with scattered clouds. Morning lows between 12°C and 17°C, with daytime highs reaching 31°C to 35°C.

Wednesday: Similar conditions to Tuesday, with stable temperatures.

Thursday: Predominantly sunny skies. Morning temperatures between 13°C and 17°C, highs around 31°C to 35°C.

Friday: Light cloud cover expected, mainly over mountainous areas. Morning lows of 13°C to 17°C, with highs between 31°C and 35°C.

Residents are advised to take all necessary safety measures during the heatwave to protect their health and wellbeing.
