Following the fall of Assad’s regime, the leader of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham addressed the crowds at the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus, BBC reported, citing Gazeta Express.
He stated that Assad’s regime “unjustly imprisoned thousands of its citizens without any crime,” adding, “Today, we are rewarded with this victory. This victory belongs to all Syrians.”
